Ep.86/ Recovering From Heartbreak - 8 Month Update (Through a Secure Lens)

Over the last eight months, I've been sharing bits and pieces of my recovery process after the ending of my almost 7-year relationship, and many of you have used this experience to find some comfort and closure in your own lives.

I know how (extremely) difficult and life-altering breakups can be, and finding people who can understand what we're going through can make our internal struggle feel a little less isolating.

Over the last eight months, I've fluctuated through all of the phases in the grief cycle (i.e., denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance)…. I've felt the lowest of lows, utterly indifferent to life, to the emotional highs that came with opening myself to new possibilities.

It's been a true testament of trust and surrender—choosing to believe in my secure self and allowing her to guide me despite my insecurities trying to veer me backward.

I'm happy to share these insights with you to inspire you to keep moving forward and trusting yourself!

In this week's podcast episode, I talk about:

-How I’ve been feeling now that I hit the 8-month mark of my break-up.

-How I’ve been navigating the five stages of grief and what that looks like.

-Entering the dating app world!

-Opening myself up to new experiences (and people).

-Navigating my fearful avoidant and anxious tendencies as they resurface while dating.

-What it looks like to re-align with my secure self.
